Both the Tolka River and Royal Canal passes through Drumcondra, there are 4 schools in the region, namely the All Hallows College, Mater Dei Institute of Education, St. Patrick's College and Dublin City University (DCU), which is where you find Bertie Ahern, former Irish Prime Minister, and is just a Hop, Skip and a jump of Croker (Croke Park), House of Sport GAA. By bus: If you travel from the lines bus from downtown take the following Drumcondra - Bus numbers 3, 11, 11A, 13, 13, 16 and 16A from O'Connell Street.
By train: station reopened in Drumcondra 1998 as a station of the Maynooth / Longford commuter. Dublin Connolly Station is about 2 km from the Drumcondra area.
Dublin Airport to Drumcondra: The bus 16 or 16 takes you from Dublin Airport to Drumcondra Station. Buses leave almost every 20 minutes.
