Why do singer's voices sound so much better after recording compared to live?
A great example of this is the band "Hadouken!". The guys voice is actually pretty good in the recorded album, but when I went to see them live, it was just shocking.
Why is this?
'Cause a lot of bands only get famous from their looks. Have you heard the Pussycat Dolls live? I can't listen to When I Grow Up now because it reminds me of Nicole's amazingly whiny voice. Bands such as Go Audio are amazing live. It's all the stuff when they're recording - if you youtube something like 'esmee denters outta here behind the scenes' you'll see a clip of her recording, and one outside the recording part of the studio - different voices!
