Byron Lee Dragonaires
The only reggae artist from Jamaica, he could always put my heart raced, Dennis Emmanuel Brown was born in Kingston, Jamaica, February 1 1957. Registered in around 100 albums and pioneered the genre of rock fans. Called "Emmanuel, the Crown Prince of Reggae, Bob Marley (who will always King of reggae), called Dennis Brown as his favorite singer.
Dennis Brown grew up in the heart of the music scene in Jamaica in Orange Street, near most major recording studios on the island. At age 9, he sang regularly with Byron Lee & the Dragonaires. Registration initially Coxsone Dodd, owner and operator of the famous recording studio, studio 1, Dennis was a teenager when he scored his first major success with his cover man is not the Impressions is an island in 1968.
In 1973, Dennis Brown, a young associate producer Niney "the" Observer Holness, and recorded exclusively with him. Their collaboration has resulted in hit after hit after hit. Well known for his gentleness, his voice charismatic and lush melodies, Dennis Brown was on his way to becoming one of the artist's most prolific and beloved Jamaica.
Dennis Brown has continued to hone his skills in songwriting and has been just as experts or political figures of consciousness, sensual R & B sweet love ballads, all delivered with emotion. His famous Money in My Pocket became a Top 20 in the United Kingdom in 1979, resulting from a contract with A & M Records, which guarantees international celebrity. In the late 1970s, Brown had more hits like sitting and watching, wolves and leopards, Here I Come and Revolution, many with Sly and Robbie as the rhythm section.
And the hits kept coming. Dennis moved to London and continued to record and produce. His 1982 album, Love has found his path led him pop success as the song rose to # 42 in the U.S. Billboard R & B charts. In the late 1980s, was returned to Jamaica, adapting his music to a younger market and continue throughout the world, exciting totally sold everywhere.
For decades, some of the most interesting works of Dennis Brown was in collaboration with other great reggae artists like Cocoa Tea, Freddie McGregor, Third World Bunny Clarke and Gregory Isaacs. Certainly one of the classic artists from Jamaica, this output has got a nice man alive following throughout his career and established himself as one of reggae's most impressive 20th century.
In May 1999, after touring in Brazil with other reggae artists, Brown became ill. He was taken to University Hospital Kingston, with a collapsed lung and was probably killed in the table of a heart attack July 1, 1999. A rumor of cocaine may have contributed to his untimely death at age 42. Dennis Brown was survived by his wife, Yvonne, and 13 children. Her sudden death of reggae, so shocked. Jamaica has lost one of its biggest stars.
Former Jamaican Prime Minister PJ Patterson and opposition leader Edward Seaga of the Labor Party Jamaica, both spoke at Brown's funeral, July 17, 1999 in Kingston. The service lasted three hours and was followed by a funeral Unofficial National Heroes Park in Kingston. Patterson promised a national honor of this superstar, but so far it has not been done.
Dennis Brown has received Grammy nominations for her album The temperature rise in 1994 for his performance of Light My Fire in 1995 and for the album Let Me Be The One, posthumously, in 2001. His legacy continues with regular deliveries of new compilations and best-of collections. Keep them coming! Dennis Brown has never really gone as long as your music survives.
